The Hebrew Reali School in Haifa, an independent educational institution, is marking its centennial in 2013. Founded in 1913, the school developed along with the Yishuv and the country, pioneering and leading Israeli education. Numerous educational institutions and enterprises originated in the school, such as the "Tzofim" Israeli Scouts, the "Gadna" para-military youth preparation program, the IDF Junior Command Preparatory School, National Service, the Personal Commitment Program and subjects of study such as Civics and Middle Eastern studies.

Some 4,000 students currently attend the school, from kindergarten through 12th grade. The staff includes some 480 teachers and other employees. We promote and educate toward values such as humanism, tolerance, contribution to society and active patriotism. Our diverse student body includes Jews, Arabs (Christians and Muslims), Druse, Baha'is, Circassians and others who come from Haifa and outlying towns, as well as immigrant children from Ethiopia, the U.S., Europe and CIS countries,

There are currently over 21,000 Hebrew Real! School alumni, many of whom have attained key positions in Israeli society, among them four IDF Chiefs of Staff, three Supreme Court judges, 37 Israel Prize recipients, dozens of military commendation recipients and countless academics, artists, jurists and economists.

Along with our commitment to upholding the legacies of Israel and of the Hebrew Reali School, we are committed to constant innovation in order to realize our school's vision: "to be a leading, path breaking institution of quality education, which encourages its students to be "mensches" (persons of honor and integrity), involved and influential in Israeli Society".

We assume responsibility for the charge entrusted to us and provide our students with tools that will help them to become active "involved and influential" citizens.
